    This collectible investment is a pair of 1870s checks, in choice uncirculated condition.
    The Tidioute (PA) instrument exhibits an orange
    RN-D1
    printed revenue stamp. The Memphis (TN) piece has a buff
    RN-D4
    stamp. Both checks have excellent paper quality.
    Both stamps are bright, well formed and are first class examples of the characteristic D1 and D4 shades.
