This sale is for the highly regarded Ten-Tec RX-340 commercial grade receiver with a serial number of 10887.  The receiver is sold new by Ten-Tec for 95 and this receiver is in good original condition, but it is not perfect.  We noticed some minor wear to the top of the faceplate lamination, but we have now placed the receiver in a nice Hammond cabinet to minimize any additional wear.  When the laminate is exposed at the top edge, it can be chipped during handling and so this cabinet now shelters the laminate.
If you believe in owning a new piece of equipment with cost not being an obstacle for such a purchase, then you will not be interested in this receiver.  However, if you like the idea of saving about ,000 for the receiver, then you will find this sale attractive.  We have fully tested the receiver and it performs beautifully as designed with no operational issues or deficiencies.  Please look at our pictures at the top of this listing to confirm this written description against what you can see visually.  We have also performed all 3 BITE tests and you can see the results of the receiver passing these tests in the pictures.
The RX-340 comes with a copy of the Ten-Tec user manual, a number of promotional pieces and reviews, power cord, and a CD that contains a full manual plus a variety of documents that may be of interest to the new owner.
This receiver has the "WOW" factor. Those of you fellows who have a hard time impressing your wives with any of this sort of equipment will get a chuckle out of the idea of what happened in my household the first time my wife saw the RX-340 receiver powered on.  I got everything set up on the stand with this RX-340 prepared for picture taking and called my wife over to see the receiver.  Her expression was priceless as she said "WOW".  She is accustomed to seeing a lot of equipment come and go with much of it being high end mil spec stuff, but she was impressed with the appearance of the RX-340 and the lighting of the front panel.  She said the receiver was "stunning" which means a lot coming from my wife who doesn't usually comment much on the items we sell other than to tell me that they are nice or that they are in the way (on the kitchen table, counter or chairs)!
We suspect that most of you reading this listing already know all about the RX-340 so we will refrain from repeating the information here, but will provide links and videos so that you can do further research if you'd like additional information.  We were informed by a long time Ten-Tec employee that the origins of the design for this receiver began with Ten-Tec working on a comprehensive receiver for the Israeli Military/Government with Watkins-Johnson.  The Israelis did not follow up with their original intentions and Watkins-Johnson played a dirty trick to garner the US government order so Ten-Tec introduced this receiver to the consumer market.
