that was manufactured around 1945.
Many of the Hallicrafters sets from this collection and others we have available are in

The set does not come with a speaker but we do have a number of Hallicrafters speakers (Pre- and Post-WWII PM-23s) available for an additional charge (and separate shipping).

This particular radio is incredible! Very sharp, selective, and thundering loud on one of the PM-23 speakers we have (available separately for sale). This is hands down the best receiver we have (OR EVER HAD)!!
Edit: I did add more pictures of the inside of the set - looks mostly un-touched and very clean! Original cord. The inquiries we are receiving on this set has been non-stop - I'll try to answer any questions you might have but from what I can tell this set will go fast. If you buy it, please let me know if you are interested in also obtaining a pre-WWII PM-23 or the WWII and later PM-23 to go with the set (we have both in immaculate condition and are for sale only with the SX-28).
Note: this set weighs 75 pounds and will require special shipping and handling to get it to you safely. There might be a couple day processing timeframe on this set.
