Note: This is the same custom RCA cable we've been selling for over two years but with the addition of a 5' (153 cm) ground wire. If your ground wire is cut or missing this will replace the original with no modifications. If your ground wire is intact see our other listings for just the RCA cable. The rest of this description pertains to the RCA cable:
These custom made RCA cables fit Dual turntables that use part number #207-301. They're about 5' [153 cm] in length overall with four 2.8 mm spade connectors on one end and 2 RCA plugs on the other. We make these using Amazon Basics RCA cables which are some of the nicest we've found. They're well shielded, have a capacitance of < 23 pf per foot, and the cable itself is very flexible (unlike many other premium cables). Because these cables are thicker than the originals we include a larger cable clamp and longer screw to replace the original metal clamp. This serves as a strain relief but some plastic bases have a second relief where the cable passes through a metal base plate. That black plastic relief will have to be removed and the cable passed through the existing hole in the base plate. For additional security you can put the supplied zip-tie around the cable just before it passes through the plate. (See the photos for more detail).
Disclaimer: As described above, because these are thicker than the stock cables some changes in the way the cable is clamped will be necessary. The photos show a typical installation but each model & base combination will differ slightly so it's hard to provide precise instructions for every contingency. It's really a simple procedure and we don't want to make the job sound more complex than it is but it's up to you to make sure these will fit your model and that you're up to the task before ordering. Note: These are NOT for models that use cables with RCA plugs on both ends. (I.E...1009, 1010, 1015, 1016, 1019, 1209, 1214, 1216, 1218, 1219, 1228, 1229, 721, etc). Those cables are readily available in several lengths from many sources.
