with a five page biography/discography/press release dated December 1980
and one Epic Records/Legacy Records b&w 8" x 10" publicity still for REO's best selling album
REO SPEEDWAGON - "HI INFIDELITY"
Not a copy or reproduction. This album became a big hit in the United States, peaking at number one
on the Billboard Top 200. It went on to become the biggest-selling rock album of 1981, eventually being certified 10 times platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Of the four singles released, "Take It on the Run" went to number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the band got their first of two number one hits with "Keep On Loving You".
Very hard to find. Promotional only. Never offered for sale to the public.
Printed in extremely small quantities
and distributed to select radio stations and
record industry professionals only.
This lot came from the files of a working newspaper.
Please note: the five-page press release is guaranteed authentic and forty-one years old.
The publicity still is authentic and has an image contemporary to the time period
but was printed later (as Legacy Records didn't exist yet in 1980).
Has been carefully stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment since I acquired it.
