    Description

    This is a nice grouping of 5 used checks from 1899 to 1901.  There are 5 different checks from one bank,  The First National Bank of Morristown NJ.  Four have applied  US Internal Revenue stamps and one has a pre printed stamp. The Revenue stamps were required by law to be canceled to prevent reuse.  They all have some punctures on them from the way that the bank canceled the checks.  Some nice signatures here.   All written with pen and hand dipped ink. No ball point pens here. Free shipping using Ebay Standard Envelope with tracking and insurance. The tracking is spotty but meets their requirements for insurance coverage. There is no tracking scan at drop off. The first scan will be at the distribution hub at Sandiston,Va near Richmond. There won't  be another until it nears the destination point. I  use recycled shipping materials whenever I can for extra protection and conservation. Lower 48, no international sorry.
