    Description

    For sale is a Heathkit HG 10A Variable Frequency Oscillator. The unit is very clean, fully operational, calibrated and on-air-ready. Improvements include: internal fuse protected D.C. power supply, three wire power cord and on-0ff switch. All components mounted under chassis. # 47 lamps replaced with white-light L.E.D's; greatly reducing cabinet internal temp rise.  Frequency stability after cabinet temperature stabilization +/- 100 Hz. out of 7 Mhz.; will sit on a zero beat for hours. Cover screws replaced and chassis bottom plate sheet metal screws replaced with 6/32 machine screws.
    Function and band change switch knobs replaced with attractive chrome plated solid brass knobs with hidden method for securing to shafts. Band change switch is positive in all positions. Coax BNC connector added in parallel with R.C.A. output connector, No voltage spikes on leading/trailing edges of C.W. output waveform. The frequency band rotating cylinder had a small crack which has been repaired and is barely noticeable.  Will sell replacement kit with instructions for .00. There are a few minor cabinet scratches.
    Documentation includes original Heathkit Assembly manual, schematic of power supply and diagram of power transformer.
    In summary, this unit is a stand alone, well made, fully functional, accurately calibrated and on-air-ready. It is one of a kind.
