Description

DRAKE 2A RECEIVER Working.  Dial accuracy is very good for a analog receiver.
Smooth tuning - easy SSB clarity.
This is an early 2A.  It has an accessory on/off switch rather than a noise limiter.
I may be a little biased but I think Drake produced the best sounding tube receivers, jmho.
Condition:
Cabinet looks nice with light wear, copper chassis has the typical surface tarnish, don't think the bottom chassis screws are original but look, work good, an RCA jack was added on the rear panel for another audio output option. All controls, switches seem to work as they should, a complete alignment was performed not long ago so plays well with good sensitivity & audio, receives on 10, 15, 20, 40 & 80 meters per supplied crystals. The 25MHz crystal is used for both 15 meters & 28.5-29MHz, the 11 MHz 40 meter crystal can be used in the D socket to receive 14.5-15MHz (WWV) .
You can add up to 7 more crystals to cover other bands like shortwave, other 10 meter bands, ect....Dial/meter lights work. As with all vintage electronics it is being sold as is.
