AR-DV1 is the first digital broadband receiver to use SDR architecture.
In addition to the simple digital radio (Registration Bureau/Licensing Bureau) that is popular in Japan, it is also possible to demodulate the MOTOTRBO and DMR digital communications using the TDMA method, which is the world standard for professional digital communications, and the APCO P 25 method, which is used for public safety communications such as police, fire, and emergency services in North America and Oceania.
It also supports the D-STAR, Yaesu Radio C4FM and Allico EJ -47 digital modes used in amateur radio.
