Hofer was also the seventh
superintendent
at the Carson Mint from August 1892 through June 1894 and supervised the mint's coinage shutdown in 1893.
Two vertical fold creases. Star shape slit cut cancel mark inside the red "Anglo-Cal-Bank" ink stamp at center. Has affixed stub on reverse. Showing only minor signs of wear, age and handling. In good to very good condition. It measures approx. 3 1/4" x 8 1/2"
